Most people travel to Antigua, Guatemala because it’s the closest town to two popular hikes: Acatenango and Pacaya. Guatemala City is known to be a bit dangerous (in some areas), so most tourists go straight from the airport to Antigua.

The Acatenango is a volcano, close to Antigua in Guatemala. On this hike you are able to see huge eruptions with lava, which is an absolutely incredible experience you will never forget!
